Loews is a modern take on the sprawling luxury resort, boasting all the creature comforts traditional travelers prefer in a stylish setting appealing to the next generation. It’s a study in contrasts. The opposite-of-edgy lagoon-style pool is lined with modern cabanas. The lobby sparkles in marble and bronze with modern art installations, while there’s a traditional hotel restaurant, bar, and a kid-friendly ice cream and coffee shop. The historic St. Moritz tower is a stylishly restored Art Deco gem, home to old school Rao’s Italian restaurant, as well as the spa and fitness center.
Amenities & Hospitality 9/10

The staff are well-trained, offering courteous service with the ability to anticipate guests’ needs. The enormous lagoon-style pool is an excellent place to while away an afternoon on a lounge chair or at one of their fully equipped private cabanas and there’s also dedicated beach service. The spa boasts luxurious treatments, whirlpools and steam rooms and a spacious state-of-the-art fitness center. There’s also a boutique in the lobby.

Rooms are comfortable and spacious in a colour palette of creams, greys and soft lavender with brushed bronze finishes and low-slung furnishings in mid-century modern style. Some rooms feature balconies with picture-perfect panoramas of the bright blue sea and white sand. Bathrooms are modern in sand-toned marble and porcelain.

An outpost of New York’s famed Rao’s serves as the hotel’s marquee restaurant in a beautiful dining room with white table cloths, warm red accents and wood and brass finishes. Indulge in classic housemade pastas and comforting dishes, like porcini risotto and a bone-in veal chop parmesan.
The lobby’s Bar Collins is a stylish spot for cocktails and global cuisine for lunch and dinner, while Preston’s Market serves breakfast, including one of the best buffets in Miami, filled with fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries and daily specials. A la carte items are also available, from smoked salmon benedicts to guava and cheese French toast. There’s a poolside bar and restaurant that also services the beach, as well as a grab-and-go coffee shop and ice cream stand.
