A chic boutique hotel on Fifth Avenue South in the heart of downtown Naples, the Inn on Fifth is a stylish perch with the best of the city’s shopping, dining and nightlife just outside its doors. It boasts a rooftop pool, upscale restaurants and plush guest rooms for a luxurious southwest Florida escape.
Location 8/10
Located on Fifth Avenue South in the heart of Naples’ palm tree-lined shopping and entertainment district, the Inn on Fifth is a more cosmopolitan retreat than your typical Naples beach resort. For the beachgoer, though, you’re only a few short blocks to the sand. It’s also within walking distance to the city’s best restaurants, like Bistro 821, Tulia and The Continental.
“I imagined that we had met in a hotel, at an airport, or that he had sent me a letter. I replied to words he had never spoken, sentences he would never write.”
Annie Ernaux, ‘Simple Passion,’ 1991
Design 9/10
The Inn on Fifth occupies a pair of Mediterranean Revival-style buildings on either side of Fifth Avenue South with chic awnings shading Juliet balconies, which makes it feel more Beverly Hills than southwest Florida. Inside, the hotel features sophisticated Art Deco-inspired furniture and shiny marble floors.
Amenities & Hospitality 9/10
The rooftop pool is a sanctuary to soak up the sun with views of the surrounding area. There’s also a relaxing spa with a sauna, steam room and fitness center.
Hospitality is friendly, professional and intuitive with an excellent concierge staff. Club Level suites include access to a lounge with complimentary breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres and a top-shelf self-service bar, plus an exclusive rooftop with a hot tub.
Rooms 9/10
Guest rooms are sophisticated and feel both classic and modern with glamorous plush velour upholstered sofas, pillows and throw blankets, and beds with tufted leather headboards. Bathrooms are sumptuous and spacious in black and white Italian marble with rainfall showers and bathtubs in most rooms. They’re equipped with flat screen TVs and coffee makers.
Food & Beverage 8/10
Ocean Prime is the hotel’s sophisticated steakhouse for prime chops and fresh seafood. Dimly lit and outfitted in deep tobacco hues with glass-encased wine cellars and architectural chandeliers, the floor-to-ceiling windows offer views onto the bustling avenue. There’s also a Truluck’s and a poolside bar and restaurant.
There’s no dedicated breakfast at the Inn on Fifth, but there are local coffee shops and restaurants within a block or two.
